Clark Kitchell, 65, of the Hartshorne area, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Hartshorne officiated by the Rev. Scott Horstman. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne.
Services are under the direction of Brumley Mills Funeral Home, Hartshorne.
Born Feb. 22, 1948, in McAlester, he was the son of Herman and Ruby Kitchell. He married Shirley Walker on June 6, 1969, in Hartshorne.
He worked for Southwestern Bell and AT&T for more than 30 years before his retirement and was a former chief of the Higgins Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and ranching.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Kitchell, of the home; daughter, Michele Baker, of Tahlequah; son and daughter-in-law, J.C. and Julie Kitchell, of Hartshorne; five grandchildren, Logan Baker, Julie Baker and Lane Baker, of Tahlequah, and Trent Kitchell and Jaycee Kitchell, of Hartshorne; one great-grandchild, Roxanne Baker, of Tahlequah, and two brothers, Sherman Kitchell, of Eufaula, and Eldon Kitchell, of Hartshorne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Ruby Kitchell; and brothers, Donald, Lawrence and Dale Kitchell.
Pallbearers will be Victor Dalpoas, Frank War, Mike Kitchell, Larry Kitchell, Bob Brown and Richard Bivins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Logan Baker, Lane Baker and Trent Kitchell.
