Maple (Vieux) Eoff, 87, formerly of McAlester, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at a Colorado Springs, Colo., assisted living facility.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 26, 1925, in Prescott, Ark., to John Lewis Eastwood and Sarah Edna Fox.
She came to McAlester from California in 1945 and married Frank Vieux on Sept. 27, 1945, in Fort Smith, Ark.
She was a long-time employee of Seamprufe.
She moved to Denison, Texas, following her second marriage to J.E. Eoff, June 23, 1963, in Durant. He preceded her in 1997.
She retired from the Denison Levi Strauss plant in 1977 after 12 years of employment.
She was a member of the East Baptist Church of Denison, Texas.
She left Denison in late 2009 for Colorado to be closer to her daughter.
She is survived by a daughter, Lora Vieux Olmstead, and her husband, Bob, of Divide, Colo.; a stepson, Bill Vieux, of McAlester.
Also, a stepdaughter, Helen Vieux Peters, of McAlester.
And, three sisters, Flora Brogden, of Porterville, Calif., Dale Jenkins, of Escondido, Calif., and Darlene Rushing, of Sherman, Texas; one brother, Calvin Loyd Eastwood, of Hanford, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were her stepdaughter, Margaret Vieux Doyle; three sisters, and a brother, Elton Eastwood.
