Henry Lewis Jr. 75, of McAlester, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at his home.
Viewing will be Monday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home, McAlester.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tannehill Cemetery with the Rev. James Crowson officiating. Interment will follow.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chaney Harkins Funeral Home, McAlester.
Born July 22, 1935, in Covington, Tenn., he was the son of Henry and Mary (Clement) Lewis.
He married Nelda Huff on May 18, 1959, in California. He farmed his entire life.
He was a foreman on a large farm in California were he grew grapes and pistachios.
Following his retirement, he and his wife moved to McAlester where he grew roses.
He is survived by his wife, Nelda, of the home; children, Margaret Lewis, of McAlester, Billy Lewis and wife, Patricia, of Madera, Calif., Steve Lewis, of Madera, Calif., and Lynda Ryan, of McAlester; grandchildren, James, Lisa, Billy, Crystal, Daisy, Kirstan, Stephanie, Jennifer, Jason and Wayne; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Buddy Lewis and wife, Mary Ruth, of Covington, Texas, Jim Lewis and wife, Norma, of Tulsa, Terry Lewis, of Fresno, Calif., and William Lewis and wife, of Germany; sister, Betty Henson and husband, Jerry, of Thailand; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Lewis; son, James Lewis, and brother, Jerry Lewis.
Pallbearers will be Jason Chandler, Wayne Heisinger, Bill Lewis, Steven Lewis, Henry Stowers and Fred Williams.
