Addie Mae Parker

McALESTER — Addie Mae Parker, 90, of Krebs, died September 10, 2013, at McAlester Regional Health Center.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bishop Funeral Service with the Revs. James Hodgson and Doug Brothers officiating.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Abba’s House Church, 900 E. Comanche Ave. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.

She was born to John Wesley and Francis Jane (Childers) Lick on Aug. 4, 1923, in Swink. She graduated high school at Fort Towson. She worked at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant and married William O’Neal Parker on May 21, 1945, in McAlester. She also worked as a folder for Seamprufe, retiring after 42 years.

She enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Abba’s House in McAlester.

She is survived by her son, Michael Neal Parker and wife, Lou of Krebs; grandchildren, Rusty Parker and wife, Danielle, of McAlester, and Becky Buck and husband, Brandon, of McAlester; great-grandchildren, Destiny Parker, Jonah Parker, Cambrien Buck and Trinity Buck; great-great grandchild Damon Parker; twin sister, Bonnie Wheeler, of Valiant; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley Lick and Francis Jane (Childers) Lick; her husband, William O’Neal Parker, on Nov. 24, 1978, six brothers and five sisters.

Active oallbearers will be Jackie Smith, Michael Maisano, Tony Carano, Earl Shackelford, Brandon Buck and Rusty Parker. 

Honorary pallbearers will be John Cathey and Marvin Hammonds.

  • Alyce Yvonne Knight Lerblance

    Alyce Yvonne Knight Lerblance was born on November 21, 1923, in Pittsburg, Oklahoma, to Fred C. and Letha Mae Knight.  She was the fourth of seven children born to Fred and Letha Knight.  Alyce grew up in Wilburton and graduated with the class of 1941 and was a graduate of Eastern State A & M in Wilburton.
