Danny Peckio, 75, of McAlester died Thursday, March 21, 2013, in Tulsa.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Life Church in McAlester.
Born Nov. 27, 1937, in Krebs, he was the son of Frank and Mary Peckio. He married Shirley Eller on Dec. 17, 1954, in Muskogee.
He enjoyed hunting arrowheads, metal detecting, working on clocks, fishing, repairing anything around the house, and helping those who needed it. He also enjoyed telling funny stories, making those around him laugh.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Peckio, of the home; daughters, Danna McWilliams of McAlester, Debbie Robins and husband Bill of Glenpool, Sue Smith of Oklahoma City, and Mary DeGiacomo and husband Ronnie of McAlester; son, Dennis Peckio of McAlester; grandchildren, Kenny Buse of Cabool, Mo., Kandi Martin and husband Alan of McAlester, Tawnia McGuire of Keystone, Rachel White and husband Ryan of Glenpool, Billie Reinert and husband Chris of Tulsa, Amber Peckio-Garrett of Tulsa, Daniel Gonzales and wife Crissinda of Oklahoma City, Samantha Ruark and husband Stephen of Dallas, Texas, and Ryan DeGiacomo of McAlester; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Silva of Krebs and Betty Chambers of McAlester; brother, James J. Peckio of Vider, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Peckio; sister, Matilda Peckio; brothers, Frank Jr., Henry, and Charles; and great grandchild Kenneth Scott Robins White.
