Johnny Alex Konsire

McALESTER — Johnny Alex Konsire, 69, of Haileyville, died Saturday, May 11, 2013, at McAlester Regional Health Center.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Haileyville School Gymnasium. Burial will be at Bache-Red Oak Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne.

Born July 12, 1943, in McAlester, he was the son of Alex “Butch” and Gentile Marie (Polli) Konsire. He married Sharon Wilson on Dec. 18, 1965, in Heavener.

He served in the United States Army Reserves during the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed following his children in sports, gardening, fishing, hunting, especially duck hunting, his labrador retrievers and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed his daily phone conversations with J.M. Pink.

He worked for Rockwell/Lockheed/Boeing for 32 years, retiring in 2002.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Konsire, of the home; daughter, Lisa Bruton and Greg Wagner; sons and daughters-in-law, Sean Konsire, and Jonothon Konsire and Whitney McGuire; grandchildren, Kadence Walker, Hoyt McGuire and Jace Konsire; one brother, Charles Konsire; sister-in-law, Gloria Gragg, and brothers-in-law, Donald Wilson, Billy Wilson, Eddie Wilson, and Philip and Elizabeth Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law; brother, Roy Dunham Jr., and nephew, Joseph Wilson.

Pallbearers will be J.M. Pink, Mark Hefley, Tristan Bolt, Donnie Wilson, Brandon Robertson, Eugene Norris and Charles Konsire.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Pingleton, Bryce Cullun, Greg Wagner, Mike Konsure, Raymond Holt, Eddie McMurtery, Jeriad Wilson, Billy Don Wilson and the Haileyville Class of 1961.
