She was was born on May 31, 1955, to Addell and Joyce (Leird) Warren in Stigler. She was baptized in the Christian faith becoming a member of the First Baptist Church of Kinta at a young age.

As a young child she was known for her beautiful long blonde hair and sunny smile. Her favorite activities were sewing (starting with Barbie doll clothes) and reading. These were hobbies she enjoyed all her life. As an adult she always had a book or sewing project close by. She made quilts and cross-stitch pictures for family and friends.

Following high school graduation she began nurses training, eventually obtaining her registered nurses’ license. Her 25-year nursing career was spent primarily at McAlester General Hospital. Poor health forced her retirement in 2003. She was well-liked and missed by her many co-workers.

In November of 1972, she and Robert Satterfield were married. They had three children. Family was important to her and she fought a courageous battle to live long enough to see grandchildren. Among her last words was a thanksgiving to God for allowing her to do so.
