Wanda Marie Griffin, 90, of McAlester, died Thursday, December 5, 2013, her residence.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Bishop Funeral Home with Red Coleman and Kevin Wright officiating.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Main and Oklahoma Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.
She was born Oct. 7, 1923, in Indianola to Percy Orville and Nellie B. Womack Davenport.
She attended Indianola schools and graduated from Indianola High School. She then married William E. Griffin in Okmulgee and they were married for 71 years. She worked as a hairdresser and a housewife. She enjoyed working at her church.
She was a member of the Second and Washington Church of Christ and then the Main and Oklahoma Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Griffin; a daughter, Kathye Griffin, of Reno, Texas; cousins, Betty Blevins, of Claremore, Jan Ostrom, of Eureka, Calif., Doris Tencelaki and Nellie Smith, of Clear Lake, Calif., Richard Davenport of Port Hueneme, Calif., Sammy Davenport, of McAlester; extended family members Jim and Bridget Paxton, of Atoka, Jennifer Clark, and husband, Kelly, of Antlers, Jamie Dyer, and husband, Troy, of Pottsboro, Texas; great-grandchildren Madison, Maylee, Morgan, Griffin, Reid and Mason, and life companion Betty Hughes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Nellie Davenport.
