McALESTER — Virginia R. Faver, 78, of McAlester, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, in McAlester.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester..

Born Nov. 14, 1934, in Lafayette, Texas, she was the daughter of Gordon Melton and Carrie Rudeal (Willis) Woolsey. She married John D. Faver on June 6 1960, in Everett, Wash. She came with her family to McAlester in 1976 from Arkansas.

She was and L.P.N. for 45 years and worked for Colonial Lodge Nursing Home until she retired. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Angela Johnson, of McAlester; three sons, Michael Harvey and wife, Marie Harvey, Gassville, Ark., Darrell and wife, Mary Faver, of McAlester, and Travis and wife, Christy Faver, Williston, Fla.

Also, two sisters, Nellie Crouch, Antione, Ark., and Margarie Myrick, Suison, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Chris Harvey, Michelle Harvey, John M. Faver, Darrell D. Faver Jr., Bambi Faver, Amber Davis, Bryan Davis, Heather Ingram and Johnny Keith Faver Jr., and three great-grandchildren, Wolf Davis, Jason Stambaugh and Arlo Harvey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John D. Faver; son, Johnny Keith Faver, and a grandson, Gabriel Faver.
