McALESTER — Viewing will be at Mallory Chapel in Quinton from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Quinton Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Wilma Jo Mahan officiating. Burial will be at Quinton City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory of Stigler.

Born Nov. 23, 1925, in McCurtain, he was the son of Elmer and Florence Randolph Monks.

Survivors include his wife, Dorthy, of the home; three daughters, Oma Strable and husband, David, Canadian, Texas, Barbara Bush, of Quinton, and Amber Daniels and husband, Scott, of Quinton.

Also, six grandchildren, Mandy Coplen, Dustin Gwaltney, Clint Strable, Madison Daniels, Aliviah Daniels and Jesse Zaldana; six great-grandchildren, Alley Coplen, Seth Coplen, Jacie Strable, Justin Strable, Aryona Zaldana and Blayk Gwaltney, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Theresa Zaldana; one grandson, Justin Strable; two brothers, Elmer “Red” Monks and Kenneth “Jim” James Monks, and his parents, Elmer and Florence Monks.

Pallbearers will be Sherman Stockton, Roger Stockton, Bill Montgomery, Dean Montgomery, Arlanda Eakle, Jerry Eakle, Kenneth Clayton and Robbie Moore.
