James Calvin “Jim” Carlton III, 57, of Tulsa, went home to be with the Lord and found eternal peace on April 1, 2014. Jim was born on January 14, 1957, in McAlester. Jim was a building and restoration contractor, a skilled craftsman who produced beutiful work. While Jim enjoyed his work, he took time for boating, fishing and SCUBA diving.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Jr. and Katharine Carlton, and a daughter, Wendy Jo Carlton.
Jim leaves to cherish his memory his dear son and daughter, James Calvin Carlton IV, and Lisa (Preston) Scarrow, and grandchildren, Addison and Gannon Scarrow; his loving and devoted mate, Christy Blair and stepdaughter, Chelsea Blair; his three sisters, Carolyn (David) Barros, Linda (Frank) Stone, and Cesteline Jan (Phil) Peterson; his nieces and nephews, Wallace, Mark and Timothy Owens; Kathy Rowell of Blanco, and John Hernandez, of McAlester; Sara, Phillip, and Eddie Peterson, and a host of family and friends.
Graveside service will be conducted Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Kiowa Cemetery, Kiowa, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Advantage of Tulsa.
