Jennie Marie (Fassino) Addison McDougal dies at 101

McALESTER — Jennie Marie (Fassino) Addison McDougal, 101, of Krebs, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, in McAlester.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Bishop Chapel of Memories.

Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church in Krebs with the Rev. Jim Caldwell officiating. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in McAlester. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.

Born Feb. 15, 1911, in Krebs, she was the daughter of Angelo and Maria (Fabrizio) Fassino.  She married Harold O. Addison on July 14, 1931, and he preceded her in death in 1958. She then married Robert McDougal in 1978 and he preceded her in death in 1999.

She was a coal miner’s daughter and enjoyed Loretta Lynn’s rendition of Coal Miner’s Daughter.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Altar Society in Krebs.

She and her first husband moved to Fort Worth, Texas and then to Eldorado, Ark. In 1940 they moved to a farm near Alderson.

She loved working in her garden and had a garden until she was 88 years old. She enjoyed sewing, making casciocavallo cheese and worked as a cake decorator. She began her cake decorating career with Antonelli’s Bakery in McAlester in the early 1950s,  later moving to Fort Worth and decorating cakes for Buddy’s Super Market for nine years before moving back to McAlester.

Survivors include daughters, Sylvia Addison Hass, and Juanita Addison Zummer and husband, Louis, both of McAlester; grandchildren, Karen Price and husband, Jeff, Donald Hass and wife, Sylvia, Rita Wilson, Sandra Estes and husband, Mike, Jerri Edge and husband, John, Rebecca Johnson, Teresa Moy and husband, Mark, Cynthia London, Sheila Zummer, Mark Zummer and wife, Felicia, Pam Pulchny and husband, Donald and David Zummer.

Also, great-grandchildren, Erin Moy Shoemaker and husband, Jeremy, Ryan Moy, Loyd Dale London III, Toni Gayle London, Daniel Woolf, Emily Zummer, Christopher Pulchny, Amanda Pulchny Miller, Mason Zummer, Andrea Green and husband, Chad, Rachel McCleave and husband, Jared, Bryan Hammers, Jason Price, Joshua Hass and wife, Jodi, Randy Hass and wife, Kristen, Eli Hass and wife, Billie, Chase Hass, Brandi Hongell, Ryan Hongell, Nathan Vanblaricom, Samantha Vanblaricom, Adam Hass and wife Jackie, Angela Wilson, Starla Edge, Amber Owens and husband, Gene, Dennis Edge and wife, Kim, Michael Edge, Diamond Edge, Joseph Johnson and wife, Laura, Steven Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Dustin Johnson, Calup Johnson and wife, Nichole, and Brittney Johnson.

Edge, Denisha Edge, Shyanne Edge, Tylinn Johnson, Makaylin Johnson and Madden Robertson, and numerous other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Angelo and Maria Fassino; first husband, Harold Addison; second husband, Robert McDougal; brothers, Tony Fassino, Nick Fassiono and Mike Fassino; sisters, Josephine Fassino Naron Rushing and Louise Schindler; stepmother, Imogene Fassino, and son-in-law, Joe Hass.

Pallbearers will be Don Hass, Mark Zummer, David Zummer, Dustin Pulchny, Josh Hass and Adam Hass.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Pulchny, Loyd London III, Ryan Moy, Daniel Woolf, Eli Hass, Bryan Hammer, Michael Edge, Nathan Vanblaricom, Randy Hass, Chase Hass, Ryan Hongell, Dennis Edge, Joseph Johnson, Stevie Johnson, Calup Johnson, Dutin Johnson and Brandon Johnson.

Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Church Renovation Fund.
