McALESTER — Irene Jiles, 82, of Hartshorne, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at a local nursing center.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Brumley-Mills Chapel in Hartshorne with Mark Day officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne.

Born Oct. 31, 1930, in Eufaula, she was the daughter of J. L. and Josie (Pack) Lancaster. She married J.W. Jiles on March 2, 1976, in Wilburton. She had lived much of her life in Hartshorne. She operated a local dry cleaners for many years.

She also enjoyed working side by side with her husband on their farm, gardening and spending time with family, friends, and her grandchildren.

She was a longtime member of Haileyville Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, J.W. Jiles, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Sherman and Phyllis Dodd, of McAlester, and Donald and Michelle Dodd, of McAlester; daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Tony Henry, of McAlester; stepsons, Jerry Jiles and his wife, Debbie, of Higgins, and Gary Jiles, of Higgins.

Also, grandchildren, Robert Semtner, of Oklahoma City, Jennifer Brewer and husband, Wendell, of McAlester, Steven Dodd, of McAlester, Michelle McKinnis and husband, Patrick, Las Vegas, Nev., Justin Dodd and wife, Shayla, of McAlester, Ariel Henry, of McAlester, Rena Dodd, of McAlester, Jarrett Dodd, of McAlester, Kyle Jiles and wife, Valerie, Casey Jiles and wife, McKinney, Jacob Jiles and wife, Destiney, Daniel Jiles and Ricky Jiles.

And, great-grandchildren, Hunter Brewer, of McAlester, Thomas McKinnis, Las Vegas, Jaxten Dudley, of McAlester, and Landon, Eli and Joea Jiles, of Hartshorne.

And, nieces, Babs Tittle and husband, Eddie, of Broken Arrow, and Wanda Wood and husband, Richard, Minneapolis, Minn., and nephew, Eugene Pearce and wife, Donna, of Sapulpa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; three sisters, and a grandson, Richard Dodd.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
