Edna “Pauline” Spaulding, 92, of McAlester, died Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Broken Arrow Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Greenlawn Cemetery in Checotah with the Rev. James Crowson officiating. Burial will follow. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
Born May 11, 1921, in Checotah, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Fredrick) Sisco. She married Carl Cleo Spaulding on May 14, 1939, in Checotah.
She was employed most of her life as a retail sales representative. She enjoyed people.
Also, she was an avid crafts person, making so many different and great things over the years until her memory and health began to fail her. She enjoyed her flower beds and yard work until she could no longer do it.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Leon Spaulding and wife, Terry, of Oklahoma City; daughter, Pat Towns, of Tulsa, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Sisco; her husband, Cleo C. Spaulding; brothers, Clarence Sisco and Everret Sisco, and sisters, Elbie Hendricks and Maggie Vinson.
