Capitola May “Cap” Harvey, 76, of McAlester, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, at McAlester Regional Health Center.
Honoring Aunt Caps request there will be no funeral ceremony.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chaney Harkins Funeral Home, McAlester.
She was born June 24, 1937, to Beard Job and Willie May (Terry) Harvey, of Wilburton. She grew up in the Damon Valley Community and graduated from Wilburton High School with the class of 1961. She worked as a beautician at Edna Earls Beauty Shop in Hartshorne for many years, served as a night matron in the dorms at Jones Academy for a number of years and also worked as a CNA home health provider with Med Corp until 2010.
She never had any children of her own, but was "Aunt Cap" to everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her sister, Geneva Houston, of McAlester; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great- great nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Beard and Willie May Harvey; brothers, Johnny Harvey, Arnold Harvey and Junior Harvey; sisters, Leola Bernice Sparks, Juanita Mundell, Maggie James, Inita Logan and two infant sisters.
