Gladys 'Nanny' Marcel Hammer,

McALESTER — Gladys “Nanny” Marcel Hammer, 95, of Blanco, died Thursday, July 18, 2013, in McAlester.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Pittsburg with the Rev. Jim Davidson officiating. Burial will be at Kiowa Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester.

Born May 29, 1918, in Quinton, she was the daughter of James and Francis (Nichols) Jordan. She married Huel J. Patton and he preceded her in death in 1986. They had one daughter.

Survivors include her daughter, Faye Deen Patton Sweetin and husband, Duerd Sweetin, of Blanco; grandchildren, Sonia and Bob McCants, Henderson, Nev., Dirk Sweetin, of Ti Valley, and Sammy and Sue Sweetin, of Blanco.

Also, great-grandchildren, Wendy Singleton, of Pittsburg, Hillary J. Sweetin, San Antonio, Texas, James and Amanda Sweetin, Plano, Texas, Lynda and Curtis Church, of  Pittsburg, Jared Sweetin, of Ti Valley, Stormy and Jamie Cole, of Collinsville, and Wacey Nowlin, of Pittsburg.

And, great-great-grandchildren, Tyler, Luke and Cameron McCoy, Kennedy Sweetin, Cason and Finley Church, and Emmery Cole, all of Collinsville; nephews, Earl Jordan and daughter, Kathy Rowell and husband, Mike, and family, of Blanco, Preston and Chole Jordan, Jason and Brenda Jordan, and Ken and Jana Shaw, all of Burleson, Texas.

And, brother-in-law, Gearld and Sherrill Patton and daughter, Jennifer Underwood and husband, Josh, and family of Lubbock, Texas, and two ex-daughters-in-law, Mary Sweetin and Tena Sweetin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest “Red” Hammer; three brothers, Claude, Orfice and Jessie Jordan, and a sister, Opal.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Hammer, Nathan Hammer, Glenn Enloe, Bryon Shannon, Jared Sweetin and James Sweetin.
