Rouhana Mansour Jr., 90, of Talihina, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 at his home.
A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church in Talihina. Funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church in Talihina.
He was born to Rouhana Mansour Sr. and Josephine Mansour in Paris, Texas March 13, 1923. He attended the Immaculate Conception School in Ft. Smith, Ark. before graduating from Talihina High School.
A lifelong resident of Talihina, he grew up helping his dad with their family business that was established in 1921.
He was in the U.S. Army during W.W.II, serving in France, Belgium and Germany. He returned to Talihina after the war and married Zella Mac Holland, in 1947. He soon established his own businesses, including Mansour Furniture & Appliances which he operated until his retirement ate age 82.
He was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic church and was a long time member of the Talihina Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Zella Mae of 66 years; brother, Joe Mansour, of Oklahoma City; Christine Crain, of Dallas, four children, daughter, Linda McKinley and husband Tim McKinley, of Talihina; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rouhana and Josephine Mansour and by his brother Richard Monsour.
