Joey Thomason, 32, of McAlester, formerly of Savanna, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at McAlester Regional Health Center.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Chapel in McAlester with Pastor Stephen McMahan officiating. Burial will be at Savanna Cemetery under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
Pallbearers include Dalton Spence, Dexter Spence, Eddie Yarbrough, J.P. Bullock, Dennis Morrow, Chance Rodgers and Shawn Partain.
Honorary pallbearers include all of his friends at the Adult Day Care Center.
He was born Aug. 19, 1980, in Tulsa, to Frankie Thomason and Twila Adkins. He grew up in Savanna and graduated from Savanna High School. He enjoyed listening to music, watching TV and visiting with friends.
Survivors include his mother, Twila Adkins, of McAlester; father, Frankie Thomason; foster parents, Ed and Linda Yarbrough, of McAlester; brothers, Robert Hodges Jr., Adrian Boatright, Chris Woodvine, Colton Pearson, Eric Wemmeras, Eddie Yarbrough and Jason Hall, and sisters, Billie Jo Yarbrough, Angie Morrow, Patricia Dean, Nikki Brown and Lorraine Cotney.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Whitworth and foster mother, Sylvia Cotney.
