Lillye Oniece Crum, 82, of McAlester, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Chaney’s Memorial Chapel with Jason Dunn and Tommy Rutledge officiating. Private burial will follow. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester.
Born Oct. 5, 1931, in Red Oak, she was the daughter of Simon Hunt and Arrie (Strickland) Hunt. She graduated from Red Oak High School and worked at the post office in Graton, Calif., retiring after 32 years of service.
She married Roscoe L. Crum on Sept. 1, 1950, in Waldron, Ark.
She was a member of North Town Church of Christ.
She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, gardening, attending church and especially enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Tawanna Cathey and husband, Danny, of McAlester; grandchildren, Amanda Dunn and husband, Jason, of McAlester, Tommy Rutledge and wife, Celeste, Jonesboro, Ark., and Austin Johnson, of McAlester.
Also, great-grandchildren, Asher and Andon Dunn, Ellis, Olivia and Silas Rutledge, and Camdan Wood Johnson; sister, Phyllis Farmer, Santa Rosa, Calif., and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roscoe L. Crum; daughter, Renetta Gay Rutledge; six brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Jason Dunn, Asher Dunn, Andon Dunn, Austin Johnson, Tommy Rutledge and Ellis Rutledge.
