McALESTER — Ernestine Finamore, 89, of Krebs, died Friday, Oct. 11, at her home.

A Rosary will be recited Oct. 16 at St. Joseph’s Church in Krebs led by Deacon Bill Anderson.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Church, celebrated by the Rev. Leo Ahanotu.

Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in McAlester.

Funeral services are under the direction of Chaney Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester.

Jessie  Madeline  Read

Jessie  Madeline  Read, 83, of Mesquite, Texas, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at a local nursing center.

No services are planned at this time.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.

Born Jan. 24, 1930, in Muskogee, she was the daughter of George and Anna Brown Anderson.

She attended schools in Muskogee and she graduated in the class of 1949 from Muskogee Central High School.

She married Glenn A. Read on Aug. 8, 1953, in Muskogee.

The couple lived in Dallas, Texas, for a while before moving to Mesquite, Texas, in 1961 where they made their home.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn A. Read, of Mesquite, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Travis Read and wife, Theresa, of McAlester; daughter, Kelly Read, of Mesquite, Texas; two grandchildren, Greg Read and wife, Tam, of McAlester; Andrea Case, of Mesquite, Texas; and, sister, Betty Jo Meadows, of Mesquite, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Anna Anderson; brothers, James Anderson, Elmer Anderson and L.D. Anderson; and sisters, Edna Anderson, Ann Anderson and Oma Radeke.
