Beatrice Mamie Nix, 86, of Eufaula, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at her home.
Private family graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today at Greenwood Cemetery with Richard “Dick” Lerblance officiating.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
Born Sept. 7, 1926, in Pauls Valley, she was the daughter of Ottis A. and Mamie Molly (Ward) Pruitt. She graduated from McAlester High School in 1942.
She married Kirksey M. Nix on Feb. 23, 1979. She worked as a legal secretary for George Hill and her husband for several years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Henson and husband, Wayne, of Eufaula; her stepson, Kirksey Nix Jr., of Illinois; her brother, D. Pruitt, of Washington; two grandchildren, Tammy Brock-Gwartney and husband, Kris, of Owasso, and Kelley Henson Campbell and husband, Michael, of Eufaula, and one great-grandchild, Fallon and Ryan Leonard, of Edmond.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, and one son, Jimmy Grayson Nix.
