McALESTER — Willard Del Monte Nichols 92,  of McAlester, Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at McAlester Regional Health Center.

The family will greet friends today, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday at Chaney’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Lisa Anderson officiating.

Interment will follow at Kiowa Cemetery, Kiowa.

Funeral services are under the direction of Chaney Harkins Funeral Home.

Born in McAlester, on May 17, 1920, he was the son of Sherman Clyde and Lemmie (Nobles) Nichols.

He married Mary Lois Corn on April 14, 1939 in Oklahoma City.

After 68 years of marriage, his wife preceded him in death on Aug. 14, 2007.

He worked at Lockheed as manufacturing engineer until the plant closed in 1977.

He continued to work at various endeavors with his son and brothers.

He is survived by his son, Nolan Chris Nichols and wife, Leigh Ann, of Ovilla, Texas; daughters, Shari Beth Rogers and husband, Robert, of Antioch, Calif; RoxAnna Bolding and husband, Chad, of Tulsa; Gaye Burrows and husband, Johnnie, of McAlester, and Karen Hampton and husband, Michael, of Flower Mound, Texas; brothers, Donald Nichols and wife, Imogene, of McAlester and Sherman Nichols and wife, Doka, of Kiowa; sisters, Mary Doyle, of Mustang, Beverly Nichols, Arlene Nichols, Carlene Nichols, all of Pittsburg; brother-in-law, Ralph Sullivan, of Pittsburg; sisters-in-law, Georgia Ann Nichols, of Kiowa, Earline Gibson, of McAlester and Jeannine Nichols, of Kingfisher; grandchildren, Mark Alan Edens and wife, Noelle, Jason Leigh Bolding and wife, Jeni, Christean Nicole Bolding, Brandon Nicholas Bolding, Jacalyn Louise Burrows, Kari Kaitlyn Nichols, Catherine Elizabeth Nichols and April Dawn McKee and husband, Heath; great- grandchildren, Joshua David Edens, Amber Jade Edens, Caleb Allen Bolding, Conner Allen-Bolding, Hadley Smith, Austin Ives, Tamara Chance-Bolding, McKayla Chance-Bolding, Kolby Quinton McKee, Alyssa Dawn McKee and Cathryn Taylor McKee; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lois Nichols; son, Willard Monte Nichols; parents, Sherman and Lemmie Nichols; step-mother, Alma Nichols; sister, Billie Fay Sullivan; brothers, Bobby, Eugene, Clyde, James, John and Kenneth Nichols.

Pallbearers will be sons-in-law, Robert Rogers, Chad Bolding, Johnnie Burrows, Michael Hampton; grandsons, Mark Edens, Jason Bolding and Brandon Bolding.
