Jennifer Glover, 43, of McAlester, died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Brumley-Mills Chapel with Randy Walters officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
Born April 28, 1969, in Ponca City, she was the daughter of Charles “Chuck” Jr. and Jenny (Herzog) Glover. Most of her childhood was spent in Huffman, Texas. She attended college at Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond where she was involved in missions abroad.
While in Europe, she was also able to take part in the historical falling of the Berlin Wall. She then attended Eastern State College in Wilburton, where she earned an associates degree in horticulture. She later attended Oregon State University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in horticulture.
She lived in Dallas, Edmond, Houston, and had lived in McAlester since 2007. She worked for the horticulture department at Eastern College, helping the professor and students in the greenhouse and on other projects. She loved to garden on her own.
She was a member of North Town Church of Christ in McAlester, where she was active in teaching and vacation Bible school. She enjoyed cooking and baking and sharing with her friends.
Survivors include her parents, Chuck and Jenny Glover, of McAlester; brother and sister-in-law, Cody and Tiffany Glover, Lucas, Texas, and their children, Riley, Reagan and Chaseley; sister and brother-in-law, Maggie Jo and Nick Mitchell, of McAlester, and their children, Joey and Dylon.
Also, aunts and uncles, Ruby and Richard Horn, of Muskogee, and their children, Ricky, Randy, Ronnie and Rodney, and Larry Glover, of Wetumka; great-aunts, Anna Minyard, of Tulsa, and Sue Spotts and her children, Renee and Larry, and a special friend since childhood, Gina Soundey.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Russell Glover and Helen Jo Glover, and Genevieve Maynard and Jack Maynard.
