EdMona Lynn London, 53, of McAlester, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at her home.
Family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Krebs First Baptist Church with Brother David Stanfield officiating, assisted by Brother Ed Garrett. Burial will be San-Bois Cemetery in Haskell County. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester.
Born Sept. 20, 1959, in McAlester, she was the daughter of Wayne London and Evelyn McCray. She received her education in the McAlester school system. She graduated from McAlester High School in 1978.
She married Joe McFarland in 1985, in McAlester, and they had two children.
She received her master’s degree in 2001 from East Central University, Ada.
She worked as a mental health counselor for more than 10 years.
She was baptized at Krebs First Baptist Church and was a member.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She also enjoyed animals and being outdoors.
Survivors include her daughter, Nikita Acosta and husband, Jose; son, Jordan London and wife, Madyson Massad; mother, Evelyn McCray, and father, Wayne London; grandchildren, Ariana Rosalas, Natalia Rosalas and Jasmine Acosta; sisters, Pamela Baughman and husband, Leonard, and Tena London; and nephews, Cody and Ethan Brown, Kirk Ridenour and Kolton Ellis, all of McAlester.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Harold McFarland; stepfather, Lee McCray; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Julie London, and maternal grandparents, A.E. and Jewell Pickle.
Pallbearers will be Cody Brown, Ethan Brown, Kirk Ridenour, Kolton Ellis, Leonard Baughman and Woody Coplen.
