Ruby Kay Roberts, 58, of Ashland, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at her home.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bishop Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bishop Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Marvin Dunn officiating. Burial will be at Ashland Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
Born Jan. 7, 1955, in McAlester, she was the daughter of Leo and Opal Baucom Trammell. She attended schools and graduated from McAlester High School in 1973.
She went to worked for A&W Root Beer Stand, a dry cleaners and Tastee Freeze. She then went to work at Reed Tubular for a number of years and then went to work for the United States Army Ammunition Plant and was a forklift operator and a supervisor in LTL.
She married James Roberts on Nov. 9, 1993, in Savanna. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, James Roberts, of the home; two children and spouses, Tommy and Katie Welch, of McAlester, and Kim and Erik Kitchens, of Crowder; four stepchildren and spouses, Melanie and Kavin Griffin, Bonham, Texas, Jennifer and George Hensley, of Stuart, Fallon Roberts, of McAlester, and Tammy and Mike Wigginton, of McAlester; special son-in-law and spouse, Tony and Kami Runyon, of McAlester; father-in-law and mother-in-law, L.D. and Alice Roberts, of Ashland.
Also, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Bernice Trammell, of McAlester, Corky and Becky Trammell, Burkburnett, Texas, and Henry and Dianne Trammell, of Haileyville; sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Dewayne Mosley, of Savanna; numerous nieces and nephews.
And, grandchildren, Grady Kitchens, Brianna Welch, Brenlyn Welch, Bryler Welch, Cody Runyon, Jovie Runyon, Ashley Gonzalez, Chance Hensley, Cloe Hensley, Xander Hensley, Jaelyn Jones, Ellie Griffin, Matt Wigginton and Trey Wigginton; great-grandchild, Lilly Gonzalez.
And, brothers-in-laws and spouse, Larry Roberts, of Krebs, and Roy and Rose Roberts, of Krebs; good friends, Jerry Tollett, of Gerty, Donna Vaughn Byington, of Pittsburg, and Kelly O’Kelly, of McAlester, and special aunt, Ruby Trammell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Opal Trammell; one sister, Vera Jackson; two brothers, William Andrew Trammell and Darrell Earl “Bo” Trammell; two nephews, Andrew “Possum” Trammell and Terry Eugene Trammell, and a grandson, Jesse Runyon.
Pallbearers will be John Trammell, Finus Trammell, Darrell Trammell, Hank Trammell, Bill Trammell Jr., Thurman Trammell and Brandon Jackson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Sherman, Mark Myskey, Keith Bigelow, Dennis Christopher, Jerry Tollett and Jesse Runyon.
