McALESTER — Buela Mae Stroehmer, 88, of Kiowa, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012 in McAlester.

The family will greet friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Chaney’s Memorial Chapel, McAlester.
Funeral services are under the direction of Chaney Harkins Funeral Home, McAlester.
Born January 19, 1924, in Ashland, she was the daughter of George and Leone (Ferguson) Trammell.
She lived in Pittsburg County her entire life and was a nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital.
She was a 50-year member of the Kiowa Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Kiowa Baptist Church.
Buela is survived by her sister, Lois Slover and husband, Ward of Lyons, Ore; brothers, Hoyt Trammell, of Kiowa and Leroy Trammell and wife, Donna, of Arrowhead; 11 nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad, in 1990; parents, George and Leone Trammell; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Opal Trammell, and sister-in-law, Ann Trammell.
Pallbearers will be John Whetsel, Herman Gilliman, Lonnie Johnston, Bub Thomason, Hank Thomason and Altus Mills.
