Donald “Don Hogg” Eugene Hernandez, 60, of Wilburton, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at his home.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hartshorne with the Rev. Clint Pope officiating. Burial will be at Bache-Red Oak Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester.
He was born May 19, 1953, in Gardena, Calif. and grew up in California, graduating from high school and receiving his associate’s degree.
He worked most of his life as a truck driver and worked many years at the United States Army Ammunition Plant. He was a member of the AFGE Location Union 2815.
He enjoyed riding Harleys and was a charter member of the local B.A.C.A. organization. He enjoyed his time in B.A.C.A. and helping children.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry, of the home; daughter, Nevaeh Hernandez, of the home; brother, Stephen Michael Hernandez, Highland, Calif.
Also, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judy and Scott Mack, of Hartshorne; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kevin and Charla Crawley, Tomball, Texas, other family and numerous B.A.C.A. friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Autumn Herandez; father, Moses Hernandez, and mother, Peggy Hernandez.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Murray, Jameson Murray, Ryan Mordecai, Tony Wesley, Ron Stevenson and Jess Million.
Honorary pallbearers will be B.A.C.A. members.
