Dennis Ray “Denny” Lewis, 61, of Flower Mound, Texas, died Saturday, April 6, 2013.
Born Oct. 17, 1951, in McAlester, he was the son of A.C. and Mary Lewis. He graduated from Indianola High School in 1969. He acquired his associate degree in electronics from Eastern Oklahoma, followed by a bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Oklahoma University.
He married Mary L. Gillen on Dec. 17, 1977. They moved to Dallas in May 1978, where he worked for Texas Instruments. He later worked with a startup company called Intel in 1981.
After the birth of their two children, they enjoyed family activities, camping, and many construction projects designed and engineered by him.
He had lived in Flower Mound since 1990, where he enjoyed classic cars, computers and technology and ongoing projects.
Survivors include his wife Mary; daughter, Dr. Kristin Lewis and husband, Dr. Kyle Horlen; son, Jeffrey Lewis; mother, Mary E. Lewis; sister, Connie Davis and husband, Benny Davis; brother, Douglas Lewis and wife, Linda Lewis, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his father, A.C. Lewis.
