Frank Brian Powell, 55, of Wilburton, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, in Wilburton.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Jones-Harkins Chapel. Inurnment will be at a later date at Wilburton Masonic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Jones-Harkins Funeral Home of Wilburton.
Born July 17, 1958, in McAlester, he was the son of Ray Albert and Connie Mae (Bloxham) Powell. He graduated from Wilburton High School in 1976. He attended Eastern Oklahoma State College and the University of Oklahoma College of Engineering.
He went to work for the oil and gas industry as a mechanic before retiring.
He was a member of Church of Christ.
He was a Master Mason and a member of Wilburton Masonic Lodge No. 141.
He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors and tinkering with any thing mechanical.
Survivors include his mother and father, Connie and Ray Powell, of Wilburton; son, Travis Powell and wife, Amy, of Wilburton; grandchildren, Alyssa Powell and Zoey Powell, of Wilburton; brother, Craig Powell and wife, Charlotte, of Wilburton; sister, Paula Vinzetta and husband, Pete, of Canadian; nieces and nephews, Brian Menasco, Chance Menasco, Brooke Miller, Logan Powell and their families, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends.
