Jeanetta Cook, 93, of McAlester, died Friday, Jan. 17 at her home.
Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.
Memorial services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Chapel officiated by the Rev. Tim Russell.
Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetary.
Service arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
Born Nov. 19, 1920 in Talihina, she was the daughter of Evans and Nora (Allen) Fields. She was married to George Earl Cook. She was the business manager at the McAlester News-Capital.
She retired in 1985, after working there for 25 years.
She enjoyed being with her family and cooking.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in McAlester.
She is survived by a son, George Cook, and wife, Meg, of Grapevine, Texas; a daughter, Mary Askins, of McAlester; brothers, Kenneth Fields, of Wetumka, John Fields of Arpelar and Wendall Fields of Talihina; sisters, Yolanda Rose of Whitesboro, Evelyn Dickson of Jay and Judy Kight of Howe, Texas; and, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grand children.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Earl Cook, her parents Evans and Nora Fields, sisters, Helen Fields and Juanita Gann, brother, Frank Fields and twin brothers Nolen and Olen Fields.
Pallbearers will be George Binion, David Brakefield, Brian Cook, Jason Cook, William Walker and Alex Bowles.
