McALESTER — Waudean Kathleen Ealey, 84, of McAlester, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at her home.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Dr. Charles Neff officiating. Private committal services will be held at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery prior to the memorial service. Arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.

Born March 27, 1929, in Stratford, she was the daughter of Orvis and Bertha Robinson Biles. She graduated from Pauls Valley High School.

It was in Pauls Valley that she met and later married Melton Eudell Ealey on Oct. 1, 1947.

They lived in Pauls Valley for three years and in 1950 they moved to McAlester, where he had accepted employment at Gladstein’s, where he worked for 40 years and then for AMSCO for 20 years.

She and her husband built the “Mini Mall” at Main and Choctaw and she managed the mall for several years, while also being a homemaker and a licensed realtor.

She was a member of First (Grand Avenue) United Methodist Church and also served as a Girl Scout Leader.

Survivors include her husband, Eudell Ealey, of the home; daughter, Kay Spell and husband, Gene, of Sand Springs; son, Rick Ealey, of McAlester.

Also, six grandchildren, Rachelle Swanson Myers, Angela Jensen, Cash Ealey, Cari Wolczynskis, Wendy Fidler and Jessie Spell; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Beverly Blankenship and husband, Larry, of Pauls Valley, and Geneva Ivy, Arlington, Texas; brother-in-law, Ben Ealey, of Oklahoma City, and two very special friends, Kathy Hill and Melodie Schooler-Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orvis and Bertha Biles; a daughter, Pamela Sue Ealey-Davis, on July 6, 1997, and a sister, Juanita Fitzgerald.
