Patsy Louise Jarvis, 73, of McAlester, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Brumley-Mills Chapel with the Rev. Gary Daney officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
Born Dec. 24, 1939, in Haileyville, she was the daughter of Melvin and Pamalee (Karr) Winters. She married Henry “Junior” Jarvis on Jan. 24, 1957, in McAlester.
She worked as a patient care specialist at Carl Albert Mental Health Center for 25 years and enjoyed helping people improve their quality of life.
She enjoyed cooking, quilting and all types of arts and crafts. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include one son, Eugene Jarvis, of McAlester; one daughter and son-in-law, Paula and John Hilburn, of McAlester; five grandchildren, Deborah Meek and her husband, Terry, of Hartshorne, Cody Dozier, of McAlester, Christian McMurtrey, of Stillwater, Alex Jarvis, of Westville, and Nora Jarvis, of Westville; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Jarvis, Nicholas Davis and Blade McCullah; one sister and brother-in-law, Melva and Tom Smith, of Tulsa; one niece, Brenda Cordova and her children, Josh and Jamie, and two uncles, Bob Karr, of McAlester, and Pete Winters, of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Junior Jarvis, in August 1999, and a son, Larry Jarvis.
Pallbearers will be Larry Edwards, Tony Frasca, Freddy Ary, Cody Dozier, Josh Cordova and Homer Lusk.
