Glenda Gayle Davis, 61, of McAlester, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at her home north of Krebs.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Davis residence on Krebs Lake Road. All friends and relatives are invited to come. Dinner will be served immediately following the service.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
Born April 29, 1951, in Sherman, Texas, she was the daughter of Charles Jr. and Ina Belle (Hale) Roberts. After living in Sherman and McKinney, her family moved to McAlester when she was 12 years old, where she remained.
She married David Davis Sr. on July 5, 1966, in McAlester. She worked for Mid-Continent Casualty Company for 15 years, and in 1990, she and her husband formed Frontier Adjusters.
She was active in the local cub scouts and was a longtime member of McAlester Women’s Bowling Association. She was also active with the McAlester High School Band Boosters.
Her hobbies included growing herb gardens, fishing, and playing golf, which she and her husband did all around the world. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, David Davis Sr., of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Tom Gera, of Quakertown, Pa.; one son and daughter-in-law, David Jr. and Serge Paulyn Ramirez Davis, of the Philippines; four grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth Gera, Thea Angela Ramirez, Tristan Angelo Ramirez and Thea Angelee Ramirez; her parents, Charles Jr. and Ina Belle Roberts, of McAlester; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Don Blackwell, of McAlester, Pattye and Bret Rivas, of McAlester, and Charla and Clint Hutson, of McAlester, and numerous nieces and nephews.
