McALESTER — Betty June Holland, 77, of Kiowa, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at her home.

Visitation for family and friends will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday at the First Baptist Church of Pittsburg, officiated by Pastor Kenny Morrow.

Interment will follow at Pittsburg Cemetery.

Born June 22, 1936, in Kiowa, she was the daughter of Charlie and Dora Bell (Martin) Beard.

She was raised in Pittsburg County and attended school at Kiowa and Pittsburg.

She resided in California for a short time before returning to the county in 1950.

On Dec. 17, 1950, she married O.C. Holland at her parent’s home in Kiowa.

Shortly after their marriage, they moved to California and resided there for 32 years before returning to a ranch they owned near Kiowa in 1983.

She attended the First Baptist Church of Pittsburg and lunchtime at the Kiowa Senior Citizens Center.

She was survived by her husband, O. C. Holland, of the home; son, Chuck and wife Deana Holland, of Bartlesville; two daughters, Rhonda Wedin, of McAlester, and Tammy and husband Troy Zummer, of McAlester; one sister, Ruby Yoast, of Pittsburg; six grandchildren, Shane and Michael Holland, of Bartlesville, Jennifer LeFrancois, of New York City, Ashley Zummer, of McAlester, and Dean Hansen and Jonathan Brown, of San Rafael, Calif.; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.    

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sandra Brown-Blackwell, and nine siblings.  

Pallbearers will be Mike Holland, Hank Forrest, Coy Trammell, Dean Hansen, Rickey Isom and Shane Holland.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Griffin, Millard Sweetin, Ronald Burks, Bruce Sadler and the members of the First Baptist Church of Pittsburg.
