Ida Ella Byrd, 77, of Alderson, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. today at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Brumley-Mills Chapel. Burial will be at Ash Creek Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
Born Aug. 27, 1936, in Tecumseh, she was the daughter of J. W. and Ella (Waller) Morrow. She lived in California much of her adult life, returning here in 1958 to 1965, then moved to Arizona for several years, until coming back here in 2007.
She married Bo Byrd in Wynnewood and he preceded her in death. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Doug Whitlow, of Alderson, and Billy and Betty Whitlow, of Ash Creek; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and George Logan, of Illinois; grandchildren, J.D. Whitlow and wife, Jessica, of Oklahoma City, Jessica Whitlow and husband, Cody Shipman, of Alderson, Nicole Williams and husband, Wayne, Fort Smith, Ark., Leslie Spangler, Kirk Whitlow, of Ash Creek, Sherry Swing, Fort Smith, and Wendell Huggins, of Alderson, and great-grandchildren, Braydon Huggins, Kendon Thurnburge, Sierra Shipman, Ashtan Shipman, Alliyiah Cliffton, Tyler Cliffton, Madison Williams, Jayden Whitlow, Autumn Whitlow and Brody Whitlow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, and all her siblings.
Pallbearers will be Jim Brown, Carlie Joe Williamson, Wendell Huggins, Jay Clark, Gene Brown and Cody Shipman.
