NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas — Shirley Davis, 76, passed to her place in Heaven on April 6, 2013, at home with her family by her side.
Private Committal: 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Memory Gardens in McAlester, Okla. with a Celebration Of Life Service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Richland Hills Baptist Church, 6852 Baker Blvd., Richland Hills, TX.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105, or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 3601 Hulen St., Ste. 601, Ft. Worth, TX 76107-7275.
Shirley Jean Clark was born September 24, 1936 in Crowder, Okla. to Andrew and Myrtle Clark. She graduated from Canadian High School in 1954. She married the love of her life, on October 3, 1958. She was an avid sports fan, and loved watching the Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks and Cowboys.
She was a long time member of Richland Hills Baptist Church, and enjoyed hosting pool parties for her "Joy" Sunday School Class.
Shirley was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and treasured friend, who was loved by all. She lived for her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by brothers, Andrew and Floyd, and sister, Helen.
Survivors: Husband, Kenneth; daughters, Donna Frick and husband Steve of Ft. Worth, TX, Cheryl Carter and husband Ricky of McKinney, TX, Lisa Day and husband Jeff of Saginaw, TX; son, Kevin Davis and wife Lesley of Seattle, Wash.; sister, Merle McClellan of San Marcos, Calif.; beloved grandchildren, Andrea and Chase Frick, Ryan and Jordan Carter, Kyle Davis, Matthew, Travis and Katelyn Day; step-grandsons, Ian and Geoff Lloyd of Seattle, Wash.; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
