Timmy Ann (Littrell) Norwood

McALESTER — Timmy Ann (Littrell) Norwood, 85, of New Hope Living  Center in McAlester, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at New Hope Living Center.

The family will receive visitors from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Bishop Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bishop Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Bobby Mize and the Rev. Dennis McCloud officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.

Born Nov. 13, 1928, in Crowder, she was the daughter of Robert Elbert Littrell and Edith Burwell Littrell. She grew up in and around Crowder. She attended school at Crowder and attended Cross Roads Freewill Baptist Church.

She met and married George William Norwood on May 5, 1946.

The couple made their home in and around Crowder and Canadian, but later moved to Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi.

She was a homemaker.

After her husband died, she moved back to Krebs with her brother. She later moved to McAlester.

Survivors include her children, Phyllis Smith and husband, Earl, of Lebanon, Tenn., William “Rusty” Norwood and wife, Louise, of McAlester, Sonya “Cathy” Wright and husband, Donald, of Quinton, and Louis Norwood, of McAlester.

Also, seven grandchildren, Reba Dugan, William Norwood, George “Tommy” Norwood, Vickie Norwood, Sonya Wheat, JoAnn Waldridge and Louis Norwood Jr.; 13 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren, and sisters, Dorothy Lightle, of McAlester, and Shirley Smith and husband, Weldon, of McAlester.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George William Norwood; mother, Edith Burwell Littrell; father, Robert Elbert Littrell; brother, G.B. Littrell; grandson, Scotty Wright; granddaughter, Debbie Gilly, and daughter-in-law, Katherine Norwood.

Pallbearers will be William Norwood, Ricky Lott, Jessie Old, George Stiles, Gary Stiles and Jeff Rowan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Shannon, Adam Lawson, Hayden Baker, Brent White and Cecil Stiles.
