Lynn Anne Medley, 47, of Arpelar, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, in Sapulpa.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bishop Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Bishop Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Robert Karr officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
Born Jan. 25, 1966, in McAlester, she attended schools in McAlester and graduated from McAlester High School. She later attended schools in East Central University in Ada and Southeastern State University in Durant. She graduated with a masters degree in education. She attended schools until she received her licensed professional counselor status.
She recently worked at Eastern Sky. She had worked in her chosen career for 20 years. Her work and especially her kids were her whole life.
Survivors include one daughter, Sarah Medley, of Arpelar; two sons, Zach Medley, of McAlester, and Jeff Medley, of McAlester; her mother, Anne Sims-Parker, of McAlester; her dad, Lenton Parker, of Arpelar; a brother, Dustin Sims, of McAlester; an aunt, Betty Schaffer, of Mustang; special friend, Margaret Green, of McAlester, and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Cozette Medley, and her grandmother, Margie Doll.
Pallbearers will be Roger Melton, Shawn Melton, Chris Melton, Tyler Lott, Cody Alexander and John Green.
Honorary pallbearer will be Colton Snead.
