Willie Mae Copeland

McALESTER — Willie Mae Copeland, 83, of McAlester, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at her home.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bishop Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of McAlester with Dr. Tim Russell, the Rev. Paul Jones and the Rev. David Stanfield officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.

Born Oct. 13, 1929, in High Hill, she was the daughter of John E. and Ora Mae (Serber) Faith. She graduated from Haileyville High School in 1947.

She married Doyle Copeland on April 7, 1950, in McAlester. She and her husband owned and operated Doyle Copeland Sales selling “Tom's” products and full line vending for 37-and-one-half years, retiring in 1985.

She enjoyed traveling, sewing and crocheting and cooking.

She was a member of Good Sam RV Club and Fortnightly Club. She was baptized when she was 12 years old at High Hill Baptist Church.

She attended, and was a member of, Victory Park Baptist Church, First Baptist Church for 41 years and Frink Baptist Church for the past nine years.

Survivors include her husband, Doyle Copeland, of the home; daughter, Debbie Kinkeade and husband, Gary, of Tulsa; son, Ronnie Copeland, of Tulsa; daughter, Michelle Dillon and husband, Mike, Neenah, Wis.; granddaughters, Hannah Dillon and Molly Dillon, both of Neenah; sister, Margie Davis, Dallas, Ore.; brothers, Glen Faith and wife, Dottie, of Muskogee, Don Faith and wife, Janice, of Muskogee, and Raymond Faith and wife, Nema, of Newcastle; sisters-in-law, LaVern Faith, of McAlester, and Virginia Russell and husband, Joe, of Muskogee; 26 nieces and nephews, and numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John E. and Ora Mae Faith; brother, Edward “Cotton” Faith; sisters, Hazel Brown and Merle Kay; mother and father- in- law, Jennie and Cleve Copeland, and brothers-in-law, Curtis Brown and Jack Kay.

Pallbearers will be Doy Adams, Ray Shelton, Gary Wood, Ron Davis, Wingo Miller, Dub Brown, Joe Brown and Bill Brewster.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Lott, George Scott, Kevin Sharp, Kenneth Roberts, Leon Bernard, Jim Cecil, Don Parham, Kenny Sherrill and Claude Stokes.
