Mary Lee Robinson

McALESTER — Mary Lee Robinson, 70, of Haileyville, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at McAlester Regional Health Center.

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in Hartshorne with the Rev. Don Riley officiating.    Private burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne.

She was born on Nov. 21, 1943, in McAlester to Bennie and Ruth (Langford) Robinson. She grew up in the Haileyville area until the age of 18 when she moved to California and graduated from high school in Roseville, Calif. She then received her associate’s degree in forestry from Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton.  She worked at the Army Ammunition Plant in food service from 1988 until her retirement in 2007 as assistant manager. She was a member of the Gloryland Baptist Church and belonged to the VFW Post 3085 Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed going fishing and loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include her mother, Ruth M. Robinson, of Haileyville; one son and a daughter-in-law, Sandra and John Oliver, of Haileyville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Patrecia Pogue, of High Hill, and Billy and Christi Morrow, of Kiowa; granddaughters Janice Mitchell and husband, Tommy, of Bowers; Joy Hardin and husband, John, Jr., of Lone Oak; Jayme Richison and husband, Anthony Jr., of Andrews Air Force Base, Md.; Tiffany Morrow, of Oklahoma City; Shanna Morrow, of McAlester; Breanna Pogue, of High Hill; Kayelan Pogue, of High Hill; eleven great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Kenneth and Janet Robinson, of Texas; Frankie Robinson, of Texas; and Stan Robinson, of California.

She was preceded in death by a son, Floyd E. “Gene” Miller; her father, B. E. Robinson; a brother, Steven Robinson; a special cousin, Jeanette Walker; and grandparents, Charley and Ada (Davidson) Langford and Benjamin F. and Myrtle (Doshier) Robinson; niece Amber Robinson and nephew Frankie Robinson Jr.

Active pallbearers are Billy Morrow, Tommy Pogue, Franke Robinson, Kenneth Robinson, John Oliver and Anthony Richison Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Janice Mitchell, Joy Hardin, Jayme Richison, Tiffany Morrow, Shanna Morrow, Breanna Pogue and Kayelan Pogue.

    Alyce Yvonne Knight Lerblance was born on November 21, 1923, in Pittsburg, Oklahoma, to Fred C. and Letha Mae Knight.  She was the fourth of seven children born to Fred and Letha Knight.  Alyce grew up in Wilburton and graduated with the class of 1941 and was a graduate of Eastern State A & M in Wilburton.
