Jolene Jameson, 70, of McAlester, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at a local nursing center.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church of McAlester. Randy Mathews will officiate. An interment will follow at Massey Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
She was born on Aug. 16, 1942 in Russell to Roland and Maude (Stephens) Baker. She grew up in western Oklahoma and married Donald Jameson on April 10, 1964, in Mangum. Their home was in the Mangum area where she worked at a nursing home as a licensed dietition for several years. They moved to the McAlester area in 1987 and for 22 years she and her husband bred and raised registered dogs of different breeds.
She enjoyed playing cards and listening to bluegrass music, nature and riding around the Arrowhead area counting deer.
She attended the North Mt. Homa Church near Ulan.
She was survived by her husband, Donald Jameson, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Randy Mathews, of Grove; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald L. and Karole Jameson, of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Aaron Mathews and his wife Melissa, of Tahlequah, Hayden Mathews, of Grove, Austin B. Jameson, Sydney A. Jameson, Mathew Wingfield and Austin R. Wingfield, all of Oklahoma City; two brothers and a sisters-in-law, James and Melba Baker, of Mangum, and Leon and Barbara Baker, of Moore; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Geraldine and Gerald Kenfield, of Yukon, and Beverly Lentz of Houston, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jason Mathews; two brothers, Billy Ray Baker and Jerry David Baker, and a sister, Betty Jo Baker.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Mathews, Hayden Mathews, Melissa Mathews, Austin B. Jameson and Sydney Jameson.
