Lois Wanda Hubbard, 85, of Shawnee, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at a Tulsa hospital.
Funeral services was Saturday at Walker Chapel with Dr. Todd Fisher officiating. Burial was at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Walker Funeral Service of Shawnee.
Born Dec. 13, 1927, in Earlsboro, she was the daughter of Jeff and Alice Robbins. She was a 1946 graduate of Shawnee High School. She married Bill J. Hubbard on June 10, 1951, in Wewoka.
She enjoyed gardening, roses, and baking. She also enjoyed making everyone’s favorite dessert at family gatherings.
She liked to read and spend time with her Sunday school friends from the Immanuel Baptist Church, where she was a member for more than 40 years.
She was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell. She enjoyed having lunch with other retires at the Pioneer Club.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Buster Harris, of McAlester, and Pamela and Timothy Bess, San Diego, Calif.; two grandchildren, Abby Shehan, Dallas, Texas, and Blake Harris, of McAlester, and a great-granddaughter, Heidi Shehan, Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill J. Hubbard; a brother, Leon Robbins, and her parents, Jeff and Alice Robbins.
