Margie Marie Hodgkinson, 87, of McAlester, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at her residence.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Bishop Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Don Russell officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Bishop Funeral Service.

Born Feb. 21, 1922, in Denison, Texas, to Ben F. and Susy Marie (Odle) Holt, she married Arthur C. Hodgkinson on Jan. 28, 1944, in Independence, Kan. She was a homemaker and had worked at the Holiday Inn, the Carlton Drive In, The “V” Theater and also did ironing in her home. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed playing bingo.

Survivors include a son, Bennie Hodgkinson and wife, Brenda, of Denison, Texas; daughter, Gloria West, of the home; six grandchildren, Sue Thomason, of the home, Heavenly Jewell, of McAlester, James Carl Gream, of Tuttle, Christy Wilthers, of Texas, Barbara Hodgkinson, of Texas, Terri Hodgkinson, of Texas; 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben F. and Susy Holt; her husband Arthur C. Hodgkinson, Jan. 29, 1986, and two brothers, Clarence Holt and Roy Holt.

Pallbearers include Gene Simmons, Dennis Cantrell, Bob Tucker, Andrey Anderson, Tommy Hood and Michael Cortez.

Honorary pallbearers include Jim West, Ernie Manry and Gene Heathcock.
