    Bass fisherman seeking an alternative to the scorching daytime temperatures should come to Lake Eufaula Cove on Saturday for a nocturnal bass-fishing tournament. Boats will take off at 5:30 p.m. and weigh in at 1 a.m.

In California, post-trial briefs were filed Wednesday for O’Bannon vs. NCAA, a class action lawsuit that argues players are entitled to profits from commercial uses of their images, most notably in video games.

    The Mac Town Sugar Skulls, McAlester’s women’s roller derby team, will make their hometown debut with the “Red, White and Bruised Mashup” tonight at 5 p.m. at Route 69 Roller Dome in McAlester.
