Canadian’s softball team hasn’t played since losing both games of a three-way series at Kiowa on Sept. 3, 12-0 to Stuart and 12-1 to Kiowa.
The Lady Cougars next play at Crowder on Thursday.
Canadian’s football team forfeited its season-opener to Caddo on Friday and won’t play again until Sept. 20.
The Demons’ baseball season continued moving in the right direction Thursday, when it beat Okay on the road, 9-0. And though the Demons lost to 11th-ranked Tushka on Friday, 7-6, they beat Fort Towson that same day, 8-0.
Crowder beat Indianola on Monday, 9-1, to improve to 10-6. The Demons played 14th-ranked Preston on Tuesday and will play in the Stuart Tournament starting Thursday.
The Demonettes’ softball season, meanwhile, seems to be moving in the opposite direction. The team lost 13-1 to Panama and 9-0 to Rock Creek at Friday’s Tushka Tournament, then lost 12-2 to Stuart on Monday.
The 5-14 Demonettes hosted Kiowa on Tuesday.
The Lady Warriors went to Kiowa on Thursday for a three-way series that also included Caddo. Haileyville lost to Kiowa, 11-0, and to Caddo, 10-0, to fall to 1-7 this season.
Haileyville softball next plays at Calvin on Friday. Haileyville football plays Pocola that same day.
The Miners shut out Henryetta on the road on Friday, 20-0, and will host Heavener on Friday.
The Lady Miners lost at Wilburton on Thursday, 5-2, then lost to Wister at home on Monday, 10-0. Hartshorne softball hosted Haileyville on Tuesday and will play in the Kiowa Tournament starting Thursday.
Though Indianola baseball got its first win of the season, beating Wilson on Aug. 27, 12-1, it’s since lost four games in a row. The Warriors lost at Panola on Thursday, 19-1, then lost both games of Friday’s three-way series at Kiowa, 12-0 to Kiowa and 21-1 to Stuart.
