McALESTER — Pittsburg County Little League player Hayden Harvison catches the ball during league action this summer. PCLL is having in person sign ups for a fall baseball season from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hibbet Sports. For more information regarding sign-ups cal 918-421-2304. Games will start Sept. 16. There will be three divisions: Progressive T-Ball for ages 4-6, AA Coach Pitch for ages 6-8 and Majors for ages 9-12. The child's age on April 30, 2013, is used to determine division eligibility.

Brandon Rutledge pitched three scoreless innings, and McAlester’s potent offense exploded for 11 runs to beat the Wister Wildcats in four innings, 11-0, at Saturday’s Wilburton Middle School Hardball Classic championship.
Buffs sweep Burn Out Tournament
McAlester won four divisions and placed in the top four in the other four in their annual Burn Out Tournament, powering the Buffaloes and Lady Buffaloes to twin tournament championships Friday at the Bob Brumley Gymnasium and Chadick Park tennis courts.

Ross, Meadows lead Buffs past Tigers
McAlester starting pitcher Mason Ross struck out 14 in a complete seven-inning outing, and Chad Meadows' fielder's choice scored Zach Baugh in the bottom of the seventh to give the Buffaloes a 5-4 walk-off win against the Pryor Tigers on Thursday at Mike Deak Field in McAlester.
