McALESTER — The Frink-Chambers Lady Falcons went 3-0 in Saturday’s pool play games at the Organization of Rural Elementary Schools State Softball Tournament. Their season continues with the state quarter-finals Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Pittsburg County Softball Complex in McAlester.

The Lady Cougars got their first win of the season Sept. 17 against Panola, winning 6-0. Canadian went to Kiowa for a district softball tournament Tuesday.
Cougars football heads to Haileyville on Thursday.
The Demons beat Oktaha on the road on Sept. 17, 7-6, but lost 12-0 to Moss on Thursday. Crowder’s Friday game against Preston was canceled, and its baseball season wrapped against Wister on Monday.
The Demonettes finished their season with an 8-0 loss at Eufaula on Sept. 17. Crowder softball heads to Districts at Wewoka on Thursday.
The Lady Warriors lost their last three games to finish the season 1-11. Haileyville lost 13-0 to Buffalo Valley on Sept. 17, 8-0 to Whitesboro on Friday and 12-4 to Indianola on Monday.
Haileyville football hosts Canadian on Thursday.
Hartshorne softball took a 10-12 record to Wister for a District Tournament on Tuesday. The Lady Miners lost 5-3 to Tushka on Sept 17, beat Eufaula 9-8 on Monday and had its Tuesday game against Checotah canceled.
Hartshorne football hosts Antlers on Friday.
Indianola baseball lost 7-3 to Stringtown on Sept. 17 and hasn’t played since. The Warriors played Calvin on Tuesday.
The Warriorettes went 3-1 in their final week of games. They beat Panola 7-1 on Sept. 17, lost to Stringtown 6-1 on Thursday, beat Schulter 15-5 on Friday and beat Haileyville 12-4 on Monday.
The Cowboys lost 15-3 to LeFlore on Sept. 17, then lost 8-2 to Varnum on Monday. The team played Buffalo Valley on Tuesday and heads to Byng for Districts on Thursday.
The Cowgirls haven’t played since beating Coalgate 6-5 on Sept. 17. They hosted a district softball tournament against Canadian and Allen on Tuesday.
McAlester softball’s losing streak has stretched to nine games. The Lady Buffs lost a district game to Bishop Kelley on Friday, 11-8, then fell to Tahlequah on Monday, 8-1.
McAlester volleyball got its fourth win of the season on Senior Night on Thursday, beating Okay 3-1. The Lady Buffs played Choctaw on Monday and Oklahoma School for the Deaf on Tuesday.
McAlester football starts its district games Friday at Noble.
The Panthers’ record fell to 0-9, with the team losing 11-1 to Bennington on Thursday and 6-3 to Stringtown on Monday. Pittsburg played Clayton on Tuesday.
The Lady Warriors lost 10-0 to Stuart on Thursday and 13-0 to Soper on Friday.
The Lady Savages’ softball team lost 8-0 to Red Oak on Sept. 17, then played Wister on Tuesday. They’ll next play Heavener on Monday.
Quinton’s cheerleading squad qualified for the 2A State Meet, which takes place Saturday at Gallagher-Iba Arena at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Quinton is scheduled to perform at 2:15 p.m.
Quinton football starts its district season Friday at Talihina.
Savanna swept a Sept. 16 three-way series against Stuart and Indianola, 5-0 and 12-0 respectively, then swept another three-way on Saturday. The Lady Bulldogs beat Hobart, 5-1, then beat Arapaho-Butler, 6-0, to 22-5 heading into Tuesday’s game against McAlester.
Savanna football plays at Coalgate on Friday.
Starting with a 3-0 loss to Roff on Sept. 17, Stuart baseball finds itself on a three-game losing streak heading into Thursday’s District Tournament. The Hornets lost 11-3 at Latta on Thursday, then 5-1 against Oktaha on Saturday.
Stuart’s softball season, on the other hand, ended on a four-game winning streak. The Lady Hornets beat Bowlegs 10-0 on Sept. 17, Pittsburg 10-0 on Thursday, Tupelo 8-7 on Friday and Hartshorne 11-1 on Monday.
After losing 6-5 to Morris on Sept. 17, the Lady Diggers went to the Sequoyah Fall Classic in Tahlequah, beating Hulbert on Thursday 4-2 but losing their next four games. Wilburton took a 14-14 record in Monday’s game against Panama.
Wilburton football plays Panama on Friday.
