Indianola’s baseball schedule next featured a Tuesday home game against Stringtown and a Thursday trip to Okay.
The Warriorettes played in the Kiowa Tournament over the weekend, falling to Pittsburg on Thursday, 5-4, and to Kiowa on Friday, 10-0. The team had been scheduled to play Savanna on Monday, Panola on Tuesday and Stringtown this Thursday.
The Cowboys lost 9-8 to Buffalo Valley at the Stuart Tournament on Saturday, and next played LeFlore and Okay in a three-way on Tuesday.
The Cowgirls went 3-2 at their own softball tournament over the weekend, losing to Caney on Thursday, 8-1, but coming back to beat Milburn, 10-0 that same day. Kiowa beat Indianola and Clayton on Friday, 10-0 each, then lost to Hartshorne on Saturday, 2-1.
Kiowa lost at Tushka on Monday, 12-0, and played Coalgate on Tuesday.
The Lady Buffs’ 8-4 loss to Durant on Sept. 10 began a seven-game losing streak that included two 10-0 losses to district opponent Carl Albert on Monday. McAlester went 0-4 at the Durant Tournament, with all four losses coming against schools in lower classes.
McAlester’s volleyball team lost 3-0 to Tahlequah on Sept. 10, beat Tulsa Hale 3-0 on Thursday and then lost 3-0 to Muskogee on Monday.
The 1-1 McAlester football team will spend this week preparing for Friday’s home game against Claremore, the first 5A team they’ll play this season.
Pittsburg lost 9-0 to Clayton on Sept. 10. No score since then has been reported, but the Panthers next play at Bennington on Thursday.
The Lady Panthers got their first win of the season Thursday, beating Indianola 5-4. They next play at Stuart on Thursday.
The Lady Savages lost 14-6 to Panama on Sept. 9, got a week off and then came back to beat Crowder on Monday, 14-5. They next play Wister this Tuesday.
The 1-0 Savages host Pocola on Friday.
The Lady Bulldogs lost at Henryetta on Sept 10, 6-2, and no score had been reported for Monday’s games against Stuart and Indianola. Savanna heads to Oklahoma City on Friday for the OK Shootout at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.
