Canadian’s softball team lost to Crowder on Friday, 14-0. The Lady Cougars were scheduled to play a three-way series with Calvin and Panola on Tuesday.

The 0-1 Cougars forfeited their Week 2 football game against Seminole due to low numbers. The team plans to start its season Friday against Depew.

An 8-2 win against Preston on Sept. 10 kicked off 4-1 week for the Demons, who went on to beat Pittsburg and Buffalo Valley at the Stuart Tournament over the weekend, 14-0 and 8-5 respectively. Crowder lost to Stuart in Saturday’s final, 6-1, but came back to beat Oktaha 2-1 in 11 innings on Monday to go 14-7 overall.

Crowder played Oktaha on the road Tuesday and next plays at Moss on Thursday.

Though the Demonettes lost 9-0 to Stuart on Sept. 9, they beat Braggs 11-1 on Thursday to snap a seven-game losing streak, then beat Canadian 14-5 on Friday. The team lost 14-5 to Quinton on Monday and played Eufaula on the road Tuesday.
