McAlester Cheer co-sponsoring tornado drive

McALESTER — McAlester High School Cheer, McAlester Main Street and the Red Cross have partnered to launch a donation drive for victims of the tornadoes that struck across Oklahoma on Monday. The drive began yesterday and continues today.

The drop-off locations are Panache Boutique and Salon, located at 200 E. Choctaw Ave., and Dottie’s Children’s Boutique, located at 113 E. Choctaw Ave. Cheer coach Ashlee Shumway said her cheerleaders will also be available to come to people’s homes in the McAlester area any time after 10 a.m.

A wide range of household goods can be donated, included clothing, gloves, ponchos and rain boots, diapers, blankets, masks, shovels, blankets nonperishable food and baby formula.
